BMS World Mission -  This Harvest time the BMS have an appeal for their work in Bangladesh. BMS are planning to set up a training centre for workers to support the region and especially the tea plantations. The area suffered severe flooding and homes were lost and there was no food. Bina and James, a couple supported and trained by BMS, have been able to be in the Communities working to get children into education, ensuring no one is hungry and sharing the good news of Jesus, which has brought hope and joy to the people of this part of Bangladesh.

Brighton and Hove City Mission –  The Care Homes Team visit 26 Care Homes across Brighton and Hove on a monthly basis. Many of the residents in the Homes suffer from differing levels of dementia, but when the music starts for a hymn they engage and many remember the words. The songs and the prayers bring much spiritual comfort to the residents, many of whom would have been part of a church during their earlier lives. The Team and Volunteers also visit on a one-to-one basis with residents who have no visitors or who are confined to bed. They have more requests than they can meet. This is a vital Ministry to those nearing the end of their lives.
